Dr. Kylah Torre is a program director with the Digital Learning Division of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Kylah brings to that position professional experience in education research, curriculum development, and teaching. Her work in digital learning is a natural extension of a career working towards equity and accessibility for all students.
Kylah is a former middle school teacher and previously served as an instructor at Hunter College, the City College of New York, and Long island University where she trained pre-service special education teachers. Prior to that, Kylah was Senior Program Officer at a foundation where she managed and evaluated domestic and international grants in the areas of education and human rights. Kylah earned Ph.D. in Urban Education from the City University of New York Graduate Center and her B.A. in International Development from McGill University.
